Red Bank Mill | Abandoned South Carolina

Courtney Autumn

I don't have much history on this places, although it shouldn't be hard to find - however - the experience this explore ushered in to my life was far more important to document.. at least for now..

minutes after arriving, a strange car came rushing toward us - I eagerly walked up to the car figuring it was a likely property owner - innocently explaining my very good intentions, we were kindly permitted 10 minutes to explore - both a blessing + a curse when a place is sprawling and beautiful, but I’m so grateful to the stranger - whom I forgot to exchange proper introductions with, so a stranger he remains - but without any shred of doubt, a stranger who’s humor and kindness revived a part of the faith that has been so easy to lose in humanity lately.

I say it all the time, urbex is not just a hobby - it’s a way of seeing the world - strangers included.
