On the day I had the honor of exploring this home, I was reminded of the importance of connection.
When I first met my friend, Backroads 2 Abandoned - I experienced the same feeling, the same reminder that connection with people is just as important as connecting with the places we explore. It just so happens that this was the first day we got to know Robert Posey, aka BandoFam and explore with him, in sharing this experience together as a group for the first time, I felt no need to question the serendipity of timing.
While the house served as a beautiful reminder of the resilience it takes to endure nature and the unfolding of time and of life.. the friendship formed served as a beautiful reminder of connection, this time more so to what is, than to what was.
Thank you to my wonderful friends for being both strong and gentle, both fearless and cautious, and more importantly for having the best heart, I cherish you both and am forever grateful for the memories made and those that are yet to come.
