The Galey and Lord textile dyeing and finishing plant, located in South Carolina, operated from 1966 to 2016, dyeing, finishing, and treating cotton and synthetic fabrics. It was abandoned in 2016, and the site is now a Superfund site due to contamination with heavy metals, chemicals, and PFAS, with some contamination found downstream in wetlands and waters.
